Davis Island Beach Family Session

I had the pleasure of meeting the Stannard family at Davis Island Beach in Tampa, Florida, for a family photo session that was full of fun and adventures.

Mark + Shannon recently relocated to Florida with their three wonderful children – Matthew, Maddie, and Mason. They wanted some classic beach vibe photos and Davis Island did not disappoint! Not to mention that Shannon crushed their outfit coordination which helped bring their photos to the next level!

As we started our session, finding a quiet spot on Davis Island Beach that evening was like finding a seashell in a sandcastle – not easy! However, we managed to find a cozy corner where the Stannard crew could let loose and be themselves. We were able to capture some beautiful photos of their family with the boats around Davis Island in the background.

As our session was about to wrap up, we wandered to a treasure of a location. Matthew, the Stannard's oldest teenage, found the coolest location – a cluster of rocks that overlooked Tampa Bay. We decided to channel our inner adventurers and make those rocks our own personal photo playground!

The Stannard family embraced the spirit of adventure like pros. Amidst laughter and playful banter, I clicked away, capturing the raw, unfiltered joy of family bonding against a backdrop of sun-kissed waves and salty sea breeze.

Let's not get too caught up in the adventure without talking about the heart of the matter – family photos. In a world that's constantly on the move, taking the time + investment in taking annual family photos is a big commitment. But it's one that is so worth it!

For the Stannards, these photos aren't just pieces of paper – they're windows into a world filled with love, laughter, and endless adventures. And as they grow and change, these portraits will stand as a testament to the beautiful journey they've embarked on together.

Davis Island Beach was the perfect location. With its sandy shores and endless horizons, it provided the ideal backdrop for a night of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. And as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, I couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these – moments captured in time, ready to be cherished for years to come.
