Family Session at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park Family Session

I was so pumped when Jordan + Sarah said they were up for an adventure exploring Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park with their little family. I met Sarah a few years back through a mutual friend and it was great getting to know her and her family better during this family session. This was their first family photo session since their little one joined their crew and the evening was perfect for it!

There are so many great locations to choose from when you are downtown. For this session we stayed right around Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. This is one of my favorite sessions to date. They were absolute naturals in front of the camera and the scenery was beautiful.

Earlier in the day it had been hot and stormy, but as luck would have it, the weather cleared up just in time for our evening session. The park was stunning with its greenery and open spaces. The city skyline, riverwalk, and towering palm trees offered the perfect backdrops for their family portraits.

As we wandered through the park it was lively but honestly not too busy. The breeze carried a hint of relief from the heat, making it a beautiful night to stroll around the park. Throughout the session, Curtis Hixon Park played its part perfectly, adding depth and character to our photos. Whether it was the towering palm trees framing the background or the river sparkling in the distance, the park provided the perfect setting for these family portraits.

For Jordan + Sarah, this session was about more than just capturing smiles; it was about freezing these fleeting moments in time. As they cuddled their daughter and shared loving glances, it was evident that Curtis Hixon Park was more than just a location — it was now a part of their family story.

As the sun began to set, we wrapped up our session with hearts full of joy and memory cards full of cherished photos. For the Montalvo family, their first family photo session at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park was a day they would always remember — a day filled with love, laughter, and the beauty of these fleeting moments.
